Default Dog Guard Gas Struts

Hey all,

I am after a little bit of help.

I'm trying to replace the gas struts that hold up the dog guard in my V50.
I have ordered and received a set of replacements from a company that confirmed they would fit. They appear that they should.

However I can not seem to figure out how to removed the old ones.

The Old ones have part number - 30664236
They have the ball joint ends, but do not have any type of retaining clip that you would normally remove before popping them off.

Any ideas?

I think you may be right. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't a simple way of doing it, that I hadn't thought off!

Hey,

No didn't get them off as they were press fit joints. Apparently there is a old dog guard that has press fit ball joints and a newer one that has a release pin, similar to the design of the V70 dog guard
