It was you that we were asked to contact about dunston via NCVC I left messages on your answer phone and even rang Holdens direct and left a message with a lady on reception as she could not find you, all that is passed now as for the other issues again nearly a year ago but these things do not go down well when you have just taken over the dealership, will have to se how you do for the MOT As for a meet would have been up for it but don't think we will have a car for a while due to the bump and still trying to get her sorted

Hey GillBerry, thanks for the reply. That really is strange ref the messages, but as you say it has passed now, and yes I totally understand when things go wrong if they are put right quickly you find you don't mind, but if they drag out its not good. Let me know when you are in for MOT and I'll make sure you are looked after properly, its unusal for that dealership to be honest, they're considered one of the best in the country. Anyway... I am meeting with Rob on Sunday to talk potential meets, so at some point we should be able to organise something. Have a good day.

Now let's see if I have this story correct!
(sincere apologies if I have this wrong) 1 "Holden Motors" contact "us" with a view to arranging an owners meet of some form. 2. Rob investigates and identifies "HM" as a young lady in marketing. 3. Rob arranges to meet "HM" yesterday at dealer premises to discuss. 4. "HM" is a no show! I am plainly out of date, but the " marketing" technique of "not turning up" rather escapes me! I suggest mark this one NFA. Mollusk. |

Mac. I'm not sure about NFA, but certainly NFN. i.e. Normal For Norfolk!

Vindicated!

It has become self-evident that your "gripes" with Holdens are totally valid! Somebody there is just not taking us seriously. My enthusiasm has taken a severe denting, and I'm inclined to follow Mac's advice which is to take "No Further Action." Best Regards, Rob

I for one certainly wouldn't give my patronage to a dealer who contacts us, then when an initial discussion is arranged, fails to turn up! It shows damn discourtesy at least - if not total complacency where the Owners Club is concerned.
I have come across a similar attitude in the past (not from Holden) where a dealers view was "they're going to buy again, they're in the club, we don't have to bother". Maybe we do Holdens a dis-service and they do warrant consideration - perhaps they would like to respond? Mollusk (just a customer. 440GS, 945Turbo Estate, 04 C70 "Collection", 09 S40 SE, in last 6 yrs, Currently 2012 XC70 SE Lux AWD, and restoring an 87 340DL which strangely enough was sold new by the "old" Holdens ) |
