Brake Calliper Replacement?
Hi,
We're replacing the front drivers side brake calliper on a 2011 V50. The new calliper we've received doesn't appear to match the old. With the hose seemingly connecting to a sticky out bit on the existing calliper. But no sticky out bit on the new. But maybe the sticky out bit comes out? Please excuse my use of the term sticky out bit 🤣 and the massive images! Last edited by voyager44; Apr 12th, 2024 at 12:35. |

its the same ..the hose is all one part use a good brake pipe spanner to undo the pipe . the sticky out part is part of the hose. ps your car seems very rusty do you live near the sea side.? try to crack the hose free before removing the caliper lots of folk struggle with these because they have the calliper in there hands some penetrating fluid may assist with removal of seized on parts :regular_smile

Hi
If the hose fittings are that corroded I would change the hose as well.
