Hi,
I agree about Peter. I did not go for front nor TV. How do you switch from sav nav to video and vice versa?

Thanks.

Thanks.
He installed a teeny button near the gear lever.Very easy to operate.Pressing the button switches b/w the navigation and TV or DVD as the case may be. It is very versertile as the audio can remain on the navigation whilst the image on the screen is from the TV/DVD or any other output device.Obviously I do not leave watch TV whilst driving, but it means that a front seat passenger can watch TV whilst I am driving.The included wireless headsets means I can still have turn by turn instructions.

You should be aware that if you do this, it is illegal. Even though you can't hear the audio from the TV, it is illegal because you, as the driver, can see the screen.

To quote the rules:

"Under Regulation 109 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, it is an offence to drive a motor vehicle on a road if the driver is in such a position as to be able to see, whether directly or by reflection, a television screen showing anything other than information:

(a) about the state of the vehicle or equipment;
(b) about the location of the vehicle and the road on which it is located;
(c) to assist the driver to see the road adjacent to the vehicle;
(d) to assist the driver to reach his destination."

Pretty clear-cut I think.

Thanks welshlad.
Heaven forbid I should break the laws of merry old England!
I shall limit the use of the front TV link to the frequent episodes I am parked and consuming Kentuky fried Chicken!!!!

I think it would be very useful just to help the children when they get lost in the DVD menu... having to stop the car and have a look at the back screen is not very convenient.

As if an adult could ever help a child with a DVD menu! They normally have to help us!

Isn't the point really..."Heaven forbid I should run someone over or have any other type of accident because I was distracted momentarily by the TV on the front screen"?
