Default Boot Spoiler

Would love a boot spoiler as an addition to the car but don't trust myself, has anyone used mycarneedsa.com? for work on a car?

Looking at fitting a 2nd hand volvo spoiler to the back end of my S40. I was under the impression that the sites for the bolts were already marked out on the underside of the boot lid?

Not sure about aftermarket fitting though.

When you look on the underside of boot lid you'll see four black plastic grommets and these are where the bolts for the spoiler sit so it gives you a start. When I fitted mine I drilled directly through the centre of those caps and spoiler sat straight in. Think I used a 12 mm drill...

There is but they are large holes so you can't gleam anything from that I used masking tape, pencil measured and measured again, if you just drill holes you won't get it absouloutly spot on it will be out to get it bob on perfect you need to measure.

Like fintious maximus, I drilled through the centre of the large holes with a 4mm drill bit.
Then I set the spoiler on the holes to ensure they were in the correct position.
When I was happy with the positioning, I opened the holes out to 2mm above the thread size and smoothed off any burr with a file.
Touched it up with some paint, to ensure the risk of corrosion is reduced.
Fit new adhesive mounting pads to the spoiler, then attached the spoiler to the car and tightened up the securing nuts.
Replace the four black nut covers - job done.

But fintious maximus must have installed a spoiler of concrete or lead

Who even owns a 12mm drill bit
