OK, before you get too carried away, this isn’t a garage queen, nor will it win any show and shine competitions, let alone concours. What it is though, is an excellent starting point, if that is what you want to do with this car as its potential new owner, likewise it is ready to be driven away and used as Volvo intended.

In the last 2 years there has been over £5k spent on refreshing all necessary areas (brakes, suspension, chassis works, electrical niggles, general refreshing on wear and tear items). Everything works as it should including freezing cold air-con, sunroof opens and closes fully without water leaking in, speedo, radio, on board computer, electric adjustable seats, electric wing mirrors, you name it all operate as the manufacturer intended it to.

As mentioned, the paintwork is far from perfect, there are numerous scuffs, scrapes and lacquer peel on most if not all panels. Rust is not an issue, there is a small amount of surface rust on the bottom of the driver’s door but that is all I have found. Even the usual places of rust/rot i.e. front wings rotting from the inside out are all clean and free from the dreaded tin worm. Not bad for a 27 year old car.

This car has been my daily since I’ve had it, other than the times it has intentionally been in the garage for works to be carried out it has never let me down. Covering 300 mile trips in a day and didn't miss a beat.

The interior, cream in colour, leather and suede (type material) has stood up to the 27 years of use. No questionable stains to the seats, carpets, door cards, roof lining or boot carpet. There is a small tear in the driver’s seat near the seat belt clasp but no other tears or damage to the seats. The usual bolster creases are there in the leather but it’s fair to say it doesn’t distract from what is otherwise a very tidy interior of a car of this age.

163k (and more than likely a few more) miles.

It has been maintained, recently it has benefitted from the following:

March 2021, service, timing belt and water pump, discs and pads all round, new front calipers, Koni suspension kit fitted, suspension bushes, 4 Pirelli Pzero tyres.

October 2021, new filler pipe to tank neck clamp, new bulbs in dashboard, new cogs fitted to mileage recorder.

March 2022, new cooling fan supplied and installed

July 2022, inspection of further works required.

Aug 2022, from above - replacement of fuel pump relay, coolant bottle, engine top stabliser bar, both side inner and outer cv boots, replace N/S/R rear axle trailing arm bracket, replacement heater motor, replace brake pressure switch etc.

October 2022, new O2 sensor, ensure all piping to turbo was in good condition, replaced where necessary.

Nov 22, new oil, and oil filter

Mar 23, new MOT

Although the paintwork hasn’t stood the test of time as well as the engine and auto gearbox I have enjoyed every minute of ownership.

The car comes with historic paperwork, MOTs, one key, one alarm fob, fold down dog guard (to be fitted) and retractable boot cover.

Price - Looking for sensible offers around £6,500

Please ask for any additional images as I have a load already taken and I can get any specifics you may require.
