Hi there, Long long time ago you sent this message. I think i have a very similar issue right now with my D5 engine. most of the time it boosts perfectly fine however occasionally it will boost up to 2.5k revs and cut off boost. with the slight jerky feel when cruising. And turning off the car would reset it and all will be fine for the next couple days. Using the scanner i could see it was throwing up fault P0238 “boost pressure reading high” . I replace with a high quality bosch sensor and issue still exists. what’s interesting is the issue tends to happen more when the engine starts from cold. I’m really confused and have no idea what to do other than paying a fortune at volvo to try and diagnose it.
