V40 D2 automatic (2013) acceleration not smooth

I've had this problem for 3-4 years now (I first noticed after ~40K miles).
When I press the gas pedal even gently, my car often reacts very abruptly and moving off from a standstill or accelerating from slow speed is not smooth.
It doesn't happen all the time and no problem with higher speed. If I press extremely gently then it's usually OK. I've never had any problems with the car and it doesn't make any werid noise. It doesn't seem to be getting any worse. Has anyone had similar problem?

Has it had a fuel filter change?
