Hi guys

I need to do a oil change on my D5 185. What oil and filter does everyone recommend?

Thanks
Nick

It's best to stick to Volvo filters.

Genuine filters are really not a great expense and I'd stick with Castrol Edge ***FOR VOLVO CARS*** too.

At the end of the day as long as you don't go super cheap and buy oil that is the recommended viscosity and rating then you'll be fine (0w/30 A5/B5).

Just get your owner's manual, check the recommended specs and buy an oil that matches/exceeds those specs.
Eurocarparts have got deals on today but there is endless choice.

Google the Castrol Edge you're considering and the specification codes will be there.
Then just match up the codes with your owner's manual specs.
And as said previously, go original on the filter.
