I used the procedure a couple weeks back and i can report all is well. While I was there i could see the lense so I wiped that but it was clean, must have been the rollers - they really were dirty.
I emailed the website to thank them for the guide.

sorry to hi jack but no point in starting another thread
a friend asked me to look at her 901
she thought someone had jammed in a cd too many
this is what i have -

magazine seemd to be stuck out and would not do anything
when plugged in it said cd 3 error

it looks like there is broken white plastic just below the black square in this pic

anyone know how to disect these units so i can see if a repair would work

I have tried all the links to try and resolve my HU 3CD player but it still won't play ball so I may as well go for the 6CD changer in the boot...I've found the din plug in the boot but cannot locate a power outlet for the changer...can anyone tell me where it is located. (55 plate c70).

Hello, to the best of my knowledge it shares its power supply with the feed for the electric aerial.
Here is a link which also shows the cable which connects.

Sorry to hear your 3 disc player is still not working.
Possibly try another cd cartridge?
