C70: - SC 901 3CD changer finally died!

I want to fit a 6CD changer to my 55 plate c70. Will any boot mounted Volvo CD changer fit or are they vehicle specific.
The sound system in the car is...SC 901 with Dolby Pro-logic Surround Sound with centre speaker. Any help or advice would be appreciated.-Pat

any of the volvo multi changers should fit as there made by alpine they used to be a converter from the volvo cd changer cable to the jvc j cable so you could use the 20 disk mp3 player in the boot all cd's burnt as mps'3 approx 2300 songs

I found a simple repair for this online.
Has it eaten discs, displayed error message and won't return cartridge?
If you wish to repair, let me know.

The 3CD cartridge when inserted, seems to be making all the right noises and displays CD1-T00...comes back out...then goes in...displays CD2-T00 and keeps on repeating in/out until I press eject. I only bought the car recently and the CD function has not worked at all since I bought the car, so am not sure what the sequence should say on the display ('cos I've never seen it work!) It may be that it needs a good clean (lens) as the car was on the garage forecourt for months. Tried a CD cleaner but same result. I am using original CD's not copies.

A CD lense cleaner won't do much for you.
