Question Fk high tec 60/40mm drop suspension kit

Hi is anybody on here currently running this kit on their 850 or v70 estate or saloon?
What are your thoughts/findings
Can anybody confirm if the shocks are gas or plain oil?
Is the advertised drop about what you actually get?
How's the springing on the estate ?
I'm currently running lesjofors killen -40mm springs and meyle hd shocks and find the front a tad hard but the rear really too soft and a bit wallowy and not good for carrying any kind of load, how would this kit compare?
This kit is currently on a mega cheap sale price and would seem like a good solution.

im only guessing here but i would think they are oil shocks, even at full price they are cheap. Doesnt say if they are adjustable or not either

They are not adjustable that doesn't really bother me as long as the damping matches the spring rates

at that price i would take a punt at it, you can always get stiffer springs for the rear if you still find it a bit soft. There is a place round here that will match any car spring and make it to pretty much any rating you want.

Last time i used them it was a 2 day turn round

Hi there,

I have the FK 40mm kit on mine. Mine was bought as a punt and i am pleased with it.

The ride is stiff enough that when ii'm hammering it around it stays firm, but on the motor way my back isn't broken.

If your down the Gloucester/Cheltenham way your more than welcome to come have a look.

The only thing is that the front brake house mounting brackets were not attached and i welded mine on.

Decided I'm gonna have a punt on fk setup found out that they are gas shocks kit normally sells for around £310 which is less that the springs and shocks on it, but it also comes with shortened shocks which allow more travel on the lowered springs. I think this may be an issue with my current set up on the front as it runs -40mm springs with standard length shocks and seems to hit the end of it's travel before I think it should. Car currently actually handles really well just like a bit less bumpy up front and a bit firmer at the back.

Dalhousie2008 the current set up is far from past it, it is less than 3 years old and done less than 16k miles...
