Default Bike rack for factory tow bar?

Hi,

Has anyone seen a bike rack that can be fitted to the factory towbar on my V70? I doubt if there is as the ball doesn't bolt up to a mounting plate like on aftermarket tow bars.

Just wondering as I'm not keen on those strap on racks with 4 bikes on!!

Thanks,

Rich

One things for sure. No matter how bad something may be, it will have been much much worse and with lots more drama for the spammer

I have one of the genuine volvo accessory ones (although made by Thule). Its superb, even tilts back when loaded to allow access to the tailgate. Only thing I had to do was to change the 13pin Euro plug to a 7pin one, unfortunately this means the reverse light wont work on it unless you have a 7s socket too.

It just clamps and locks onto the ball, takes 10sec to fit.

I use a pendle 4 bike rack, they do both ball and flange mountings. Mine is a flange mount from use on a witter towbar but when I changed to a Volvo with swan neck ball I bought a Pendle adaptor which converts ball to flange mounting.
Not cheap but it's lasted 10 years now no problem.
