Reluctantly my 240 GL saloon o the market
As above, this very nice version is going on the market. Blauegren, manual 5 speed, F reg. I know I haven't owned it long (since February) but things haven't worked out with another car I bought, and it seems the only way to move forward is to drop the other one as a PX and use the capital from the Volvo to acquire something more practical and useful. I will be looking for close on £3000. Photos will follow. The car is in Tamworth.

Photos of the car
I had hoped to be able to do the above today, but apparently I have a "security token" missing. Beyond my feeble brain power! If you wish to drop me a PM with email I will send them directly.

Photo attempt ~10!
I'll try again!
Failed again, what is the "token" I don't have? |

240 For sale
Try again, yeeha, thanks for the help. You will see this has perfect headlight reflectors, strut brace (why?) and an interior that should have been cleaned properly before the photos. Yes I do have the correct, clean and unworn fabric for the drivers seat. I was saving it to fit before the new owner took delivery so that it doesn't get dirty. Also I have yet another seat with good foam so that should cover that issue for a fair few years, and a spare "clock" set.

No interest??
I am a bit surprised that there has been no interest at all on here. I guess it's Fleabay when I come back from the US.Ah well. Perhaps because it's not a GLT?

Unfortunately, on here you are preaching to the converted. Also, as you say, it isn't a GLT, also according to the small Volvo dealer near me nobody spends a lot on older saloons. He has an immaculate estate which he hasn't been able to get £2k for all summer. Another small-time dealer I've visited tried all winter and spring to sell a 1-owner low mileage saloon for £1200. However, fashion being what it is, if it had been a mk 1 Ford Escort in that condition would have made £10k easily - we live in a very fickle world.
However I wish you well with the sale whichever way you decide to advertise it. Perhaps try Car And Classic? P |

It looks like a nice car but I do think the advertised price is too high for a regular 'GL' model. As with any other marque, the top spec (ie. GLT) always commands a premium.
You may have to wait a while to find someone who wants your specific car and specification, good luck with the sale. |

Thanks for the thoughts folks.
I will consider offers that was just a "hope for". |

Bump
Absolutely no responses to trying to sell the car. Ah well, I will have to keep it I guess, so looking for a tow bar!
