Recommended Volvo specialist in South West London.
Well my first volvo an XC90 requires a new engine due to a water pump failure after only 6 months ownership. So I'm looking for a new one any recommendations for a good indie in South West London.
Apologies if this isn't in the correct section. Last edited by CTCNetwork; Sep 28th, 2017 at 14:53. Reason: Correction |

If you can get out to Camberley (25-30 miles) from SW, you’ll find Camberley Independent Volvo Centre (CIVC) which is a very good Indy, and always very busy. They exclusively service and repair Volvos.
I think labour rate is £50+vat per hour, which will be significantly cheaper than SW London Indys like Carpenters, who I found only a little cheaper than the local SW London stealer (Squire Furneaux). I travel from Kingston to have all my work done by them. The 25-30 miles down the M3 may put you off, but you pays your money and you takes your choice! They are next to the Camberley retail park, so I plonk myself in the M&S cafe until the service or other work is done, and I get a text to say I can pick up the car. The savings certainly make any hassle worth it for me. EDIT : just read your post properly and sorry to hear about the major engine issue. Don’t know if CIVC do engine replacements, but certainly got to be worth the cost of a phone call. Bad luck btw. Volvo water pumps are usually bullet proof, or so everyone says on this forum. Even my Indy says he wouldn’t replace the water pump with the cam belt, unless there was a problem, because they are so reliable. Last edited by Scooser; Sep 26th, 2017 at 21:49. |
