only the auto gearbox really ! The engine is not particularly nice either in my opinion , you would never guess it was supposed to be 272 bhp , It is not as quick as the T5 yet gobbles a lot more fuel .
However if it is immaculate and you don't do many miles it may be something you can't refuse , at least give it a drive , see what you think ...

It is the T5 with an extra cylinder but low boost pressure, so a more lazy engine .. The gearbox is 4 speed from a Cadillac , they can play up and need overhaul at 70000 + however the oil always stays bright red ..
Another problem , the auto gearbox can leak its oil into the left driveshaft which dilutes the CV joints and they then wear rapidly .

The miles are really low so a good find. For a decent price, I'd buy it. Yes the transmission was having problems but mostly on the XC90 because of the extra weight.

it is not going to win any awards on gas mileage in city driving, this is rather a sweet motorway cruiser with plenty of legroom in front

There appears to be zero market for it, but I sure would love to see how much power could be squeezed out of the old T6 engine.

Tiny little stock turbos though!

the max for the 5 cyl is 300 bhp so an extra cylinder would give it 360 bhp all standard , i'm sure it could go to 450 with mild tuning and still be reliable , they get twice that in the states :-)

yes beautiful turbo set up , but you should get 272 bhp from a 3 litre without turbos .
