Default S70 Shopping List!!..

Hey all,

Now that I've had the chance to look around my newly acquired toy, I'm on the lookout for some mostly cosmetic items to allow me to start refreshing areas that are already looking tired.

If anyone has any of the following lying around I may therefore be interested:

Front Grille, preferably sports style (eggbox etc);
Most interior switches - mine currently have a consistency akin to hardened chewing gum;
Working Radio/CD player (pref. SC-805, but would love an SC-901);
Front driving lights - model I have just has plastic blanks, so i'm hoping they could be fitted to pre-existing wiring if already there (if anyone can confirm this I would be extremely grateful!)?;

I'm hoping to get to the oily bits over the next week (crappy local weather depending), so may well have extra to beg for!!

Not sure it makes too much difference for the above list, but the car is a 1999 2.0 10v model

Thanks in advance

Sounds like your car needs a little love and you seem to have plenty to give

I cannot help with the shopping list, but you mention the state of your switches. I think you will find it is grubby original finish 'soft feel' that Volvo applied to some switches but not all. Check out the: 'what did you do to your 850/x70 today' thread - page 18 post 177. That describes how I cleaned my switches and photos of the before and after. It may help.

Hi all,

Gonna rekindle my begging post, having been through a lengthy phase of 'keep it or sell it' where 'keep it' eventually won out (for the meantime)!

As I'm still on a tight budget however, I'd appreciate if anyone could help with any of the following..:

Still after a decent head unit, per my original post;
Front D/S door speaker;
Both side mirror covers (or whole units), must be matching colour, preferably dark colours;
Working (as in fully extending/retracting) electric Aerial;
Rear mud-flaps;
Fog/Driving lights relay and dash switch;

Thanks again, and Merry Xmas to all on the Forum.
