Headsup for those who expressed an interest / made an offer. In 2 weeks time it's going on E-Bay with a £700 start and no reserve.

Avoid ebay if you can. Genuine cars sell to genuine people, it just takes time

And now I HAVE cleaned it !!! More to get the leaves and bird crap off that was annoying me. So I'm looking at it thinking - I wonder if the specialists have got it right ?? I've been to the health brink twice before and survived ! Also, I managed to get the engine crane assembled and got the 2.3 Turbo lump on the engine stand .................. then I started checking the Eaton Blower installation - yep, definitely works. ................. Final health assessment now in - regrettably I am not going to be able to complete the 940 Wagon project.
I've started advertising the goodies I've been collecting, including the 2.3LPT lump that I was going to use for the blower conversion. I'll be putting the project up on E-Bay after Christmas, but it would be nice to think it might go to another enthusiast. I'll get pix of the 2.3 engine up tomorrow, currently on my engine stand. Still assembled as it was removed by the PO from a good running car. Dizzie removed, but mostly complete. The car is as the pix, but with stock wheels [ VGC tyres ]. Still with intermittent starting problem. Was starting and running [ sweetly ] everyday [ !! ] for the past 4 weeks - dead again yesterday ! |

Remission time is regrettably over and the CKD condition has returned meaning I am no longer able to work on the car.
In the interim I fitted new fuel relay and radio relay. Car then started and ran sweetly for a couple of weeks - then back to intermittent starting. So best offers based on £750 takes. More than that invested in the new parts. On here for a few weeks then on E Bay. Might even break it - a pal said he's do the work for me. It's located in B98 7JT. |

Polite notice - I have chronic kidney disease - not a brain malfunction. The next person that offers me £200 -£300 will get a short two word reply .... And the second word will be off.

It's difficult to convey just HOW good the basic car is. HONESTLY no corrosion, 2 extremely minor paint blemishes. The PO spent OBSCENE amount of money in servicing and repairs. It was a "no expense spared " car. All within 10K miles - new head, turbo, radiator, intercooler, steering rack - the list goes on and on. I seached for months and looked at some right dogs before I settled on this one. Don't forget - Brand new Killens [-40mm ] and Bilsteins just fitted. I've seen loads of projects on here where the body work is badly dinged, paintwork scruffy. This comes up really nice and could be used as is - or do the minor blemishes. Drives perfect [ when going !! Boom, boom ] - engine, box, brakes - and of course suspension.NO issues, with oil leaks, noises, smoke, rattles. BTW - will be sold with the original [ good condition ] wheels and tyres. My pal is coming round at the weekend to swap the rears back. |
