I keep in stock a complete dump valve kit, not the Forge one, but incorporating their valve and blanking plate.

It will only work on the pre '99 cars which have the Motronic 4.4 ECU, not the later cars with fly by wire throttle and Bosch ME7 ECU.

Regards, Don.

As Don states you need a fitting kit, plus depending on yr of car the ecu might throw a fit.

if you have the fitting kit, which includes intercooler to throttle body pipe, some vacum pipe and the blanking plate.

The most awkward bit is fitting the blanking plate, you need to take the re-circ valve off and place the blanking plate in it's place, sounds easy but it aint, the re-circ is at the back of engine on side of turbo.

you then remove the intercooler pipe and place new one on, with dump valve, then the vacum pipe from top of bov to the old place where the vacum pipe from the re-circ went.

Thats it in short, but there is hundreds of threads about such a thing

looks like he already has one don. what year is the car mike? easy way of knowing wether you can stick a dump valve on it is to see if you have a throttle cable. if you do then you're good to go.

it would be best to do a search really as you'll see what it involves but it'd be a good idea to get a forge blanking plate and get rid of your old recirc. then fit the new dump valve after the intercooler but before the throttle.

here's mine as it was with standard pipework(how yours should be). some people will weld the dump valve on closer to the throttle

as it is now

Old thread I know down throw stones at me

Question: is it or is it not possible to fit a Forge blow off valve on the ME7 engines? The car is a 99 T5 with electronic throttle.

I understand it can to be a pita to install it but my main question is whether it will work or not?

Cheers
Cristian
