Friday night - pre-remap passed the markers at xx mph
Tonight - post remap passed the markers at xx mph + 7.....
Are both of these with the accelerator pedal flat on the floor?

On the attached file, this comes from the left side of the picture, through to the right. In the far distance on the dual carriageway, about 200-300 metres down the road, there are some marker signs - ideally i thought as a benchmark for showing the difference in the 2 maps.

Friday night - pre-remap passed the markers at xx mph
Tonight - post remap passed the markers at xx mph + 7.....

Will attempt this over the next couple of weeks as its on the way back from the fuel station and i get to do it late at night so its quiet.
I know this stretch of road really well, as I live just up the road in Stratton.
Have to say it's a tricky little stretch of road, as the bend tightens up as you head towards the dual carriageway.
I'd be interested to know the speeds you managed before and after re-map so I can try for myself, and to see if your trying hard enough

Sorry, just seen this. I'm in Stratton too. Just off Delamere Drive. from memory think the pre-map was 69. (but my speedo is out according to Road Angel, so the plus 7 still kept me well inside the national speed limit).

latest MPG update.....last 4 fill ups
23.61; 22.41; 22.91; 25.45 with the latest being 75% motorway. Seems to be a little thirstier around town although not using the power to any great extent, but longer journeys seems to similar to pre-map.

really notice the pick up though, and the way it now accelerates. Alot more confident to overtake on normal A roads.

in hindsight, great power increase, bit disappointed mpg has not improved. but heyho, loving the extra power.

That is a bit of a drop in MPG! Ever considered a V8?

as it happens, next time, i'm hoping to get a V8. I love the practicality of the XC90 and the fact it can feel so "car-like", but i've been lusting after a V8 Range Rover. My mate runs a 4.6 which is LPG'd up and its cheaper to run than my D5. I think the XC V8 is a tad more economical than the Range Rover though. Not sure if i'd miss the 7 seats in the XC though.

I live in Kenwin close, just around the corner from you.
Can't say I've ever seen your car around, but I'll keep an eye open for you from now on.

Default MTE Upgrade mpg

Hi there
I am interested to know how you are getting on with the upgrade after having had it done for some time now. I have a d5 Sport and want to get a remap done. RICA and MTE being the ones of choice. RICA have the advantage of not having to pay for a failure to a car and as Volvo fit them I keep my warranty with them!!!!

I get 29mpg, thats fast motorway and B roads driving with my Geartronic and I want to keep that fuel economy!!!

I would be grateful if you could give me an update as to how you are getting on.

Cheers!
