The ford focus RS has the volvo engine, one of the reasons ford baught volvo.

My P3 xc70 is a Ford Mondeo mk4 with a Volvo D5 engine.

As for numbels afraid I've no idea.

Paul.

Suggest less common than rocking horse poo or hens teeth.
I've never even heard of them. The R design bits don't interest me - lots of them, but a P3 2.5 turbo PLUS AWD????.

I've seen the 2.5 petrol turbo with the 200 BHP engine - uncommon but not too difficult to track down, the 231BHP is rarer, being only manufactured for approx. 18 months??

But NEVER seen an AWD variant.

If its a good one look after it, and enjoy it. I run a P2 V70 AWD R manual, and LOVE it to bits.

Cheers
Bob

Amazing responses thank you .
Didnt know Ford bought Volvo . Explains the parts similarities. Thanks Paul

Wow i knew they were rare but nobody seems to have any info on them . I wish my P3 was manual like yours Bob. Beautiful car you have too . Amazing on the road and comfort .

Any suggestion where the best place would be to advertise something rare like my motor ?

Thanks again for any further feedback 👍

Hi there,

I sent you a pm regarding your V70 but not sure if you got it or not?

I still am looking for a V70 and would like more details and pictures of yours if your selling it?

Could this be an import from a market where these were more common?

That's a rare car if correct as it wasn't a model listed in the Volvo UK pricelists at the time.
AWD was only available with T6 or D5 engines in the UK.
Would be interesting to dig out the history of this car as it could have been a US market AFPO car.
If you check the VIN number with a Volvo dealer or follow this link:
https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=195895
It might show the history of where this car originated.

That was my line of thinking!

Can't find any trace on Howmanyleft.co.uk

There's only about 3 R-design 2.5Ts anyway, none of which are registered as AWD. All the AWD cars that don't have T6 in the name come back with an engine capacity between 2900 and 2999cc, so they are T6s.

T5s (ford ecoboost 4-pot) are also very rare and not AWD. If this car really is AWD 2.5T then what is it registered as? What does the V5C say?
