Starting from cold
I have started to have a problem with starting the car first thing in the morning. The problem has only started since the temperature has become a bit more wintery recently. The car starts but if I do not keep the revs up for 10 secs or so then the engine dies. After giving it a bit of a rev it idles fine but it is not particuarly neighbour friendly!!
Any ideas what the problem could be? It is an S80 S 2000(X) Auto. Cheers Dave |

Any idea how much I would expect to pay to get the fuel system re-mapped?

Anyone ??
After finishing work today it took 2-3 attempts to get it to idle. Whilst driving out of the car park the engine cut out which also resulted in the power steering becoming inactive. Good job it was in the car park and not whilst going round a roundabout!! Before I get an expensive bill from a Volvo dealer is there anything I can check myself, ie plugs. Any help/info appreciated. |

My V70 did something similar. I had a look at the plugs. They were well and truly done. Have a look at them you'll soon know if the are good or not.

Thanks for the reply, will take a look on my days off.
To add to my woes!! The drivers side window seems to have become misaligned. Have to be very careful to lower it in stages so as not to jam the thing!! |
