Default Wanted: 240 Estate

Afternoon chaps,

As per the title I'm after a 240 Estate as a get around and a tow car. Diesel's preferred but I'm flexible. I'm on a budget of £800-1000 so any cars are considered since I don't mind doing the work where it's needed. I'm on the Isle of Wight so I obviously don't mind travelling for the right car. I've also got brothers in Devon and Milton Keynes who can view cars in their local areas if necessary.

Cheers

Alex

Thumbs up 240 wanted

Hi Alex, for your info, Volvo never made a right hand drive diesel 240 as apparently the steering gear ? / master cylinder ? interfered with the engine. There have been several conversions in the past using various diesel engines. Good luck in getting a 240, I have just sold mine and am sure I will miss it !
Regards, Richard.

Richard,

I had a feeling that might be the case but I'm no expert. I'll keep up the search nonetheless and thanks for the input.
