Dont bother with boost control valves. It'll just end up expensive!

I think the cheapest wa to go would be an air filterand remap. Should be good for 30-40 hp and a big increase in torque! From 300nM to 380ish maybe.

You could of course do a proper cold air induction (pipercross viper for example) injectors and exhaust as well as a remap but its getting expensive now.

As above really. BCV's arent all that great and IMO wont do you as much good as you think they might.

Personally for more power your looking around £1K to throw at the car.
  • £300-400 on a decent exhaust system
£200 on a decent induction system like BMC Dynatwist, not a bolt on K&N you see on the local Chorsa!
£300 on a decent custom remap
£100 on a decent service, oil filter, fuel filter, new oil too which you should be doing quite regulary on a T4
£100 on Vpower or the like to test it's true potential (and bes tto run it on this in future)

thats just my opinion though take it how you will.

Standard remaps give 35hp, Exhausts are around £370 and offer a few HP, filters, i'd go for a replacement panel filter preferably foam, only run it on volvo plugs, use vpower or 98 minimum octane petrol otherwise knock sensor throws faults out to ecu. If your on about decent horsepower your talking of replacing the turbo, with either e t5 one you'll need an adaptor plate to fit it, or making yours a hybrid, i was quoted £405 to service my old unit and replace the compressor housing with a 16g one from an EVO. Then it'll need a remap £300 to £500 (MTE preferably), injectors 400cc and above, seen them for £100, exhaust complete system £377 and a decat £50? or race cat is £500. New intercooler and piping £700 custom made or £200 to £300 if your willing to mess about. Then i'd fit gauges for boost, oil temp and Air/Fuel ratio just to make sure it all runs ok. It can get expensive ish but 280hp can be had for around the prices above. or so i've heard ;-)
