Sudden loss of power.......
Occasionally my 2001 t5 loses power, only for about a second but then ´surges'.
No magic yellow/red triangles and no other side effects, so i am at a loss as to what is up. as i live in spain (uk car) i cant get my hands on a code reader any ideas, i´m thinking it must be fuel related but honestly aint got a clue. Thanks in advance and happy motoring. |

I'm no expert but some issues mentioned on a few of the ETM threads sound similar, and I just posted about a similar problem with the same initial symptoms you report which got steadily worse, and which turned out to be the ETM. http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?p=749462
You might want to have a read of other posts; just search ETM (electronic throttle module). If you think that might be the problem, this might be of interest. http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/etm.shtml Whatever it is, best of luck. |
