I have recently replaced driver's seat control cover on my XC90
My ordering of this replacement showed up a strange anomoly
I inadvertently ordered the wrong colour part assuming that the
colour I required was grey.I was quoted approx £12 and ordered this
against my reg no. from the local Volvo dealer.
When this was delivered it turned out that the colour of the part was
dark grey. This was returned and the correct beige colour ordered.
This was subsequently delivered and I was advised that although the
part was. with the exception of the colour, identical to the previous part
delivered, however this item was over £5 more expensive than the other
part. According to the parts department this was correct as the price was
determined by the demand!
This explanation beggars belief and says that a Volvo owner is wide open
to some very peculiar practices
