Default 2008 S40 Boot lid stuck

Hi all,

The boot lid on my 2008 S40 has decided to stop working, my son locked it the other night and when I went to open it again....nothing.

When I use the key fob to lock/unlock the doors the boot lock makes no noise, but when I pull the boot lid handle, I can hear the mechanism trying to work.

Anybody any ideas as getting my golf clubs in and out of the boot via pulling the back seats down is doing my head in! lol

Cheers

hi, you need to remove your golf clubs then remove rear interior felt cover and clips ,then remove cdl bolts and multiplug then you can open boot lid ,once opened remove 2xtorx bolts 25mm at nsr boot lid where rubber goes through lid bear it back and check if any wires are broken repair if they are ,failing that if all wires ok i suspect its cdl itself very unusal to be microswitch i the handle

Lock went on mine, Volvo replaced it for about £50. Also 2008 S40.
