Mine is listed as an 'S' on the V5 but really it's an 'SE' (I have a copy of the original car invoice).
Having owned an 'S' previously I do know one difference between the two is that an 'S' has air-conditioning and an 'SE' has climate control

Right, what does climate control do again? Not sure if I have that or not. Lost my user manual.

Is this one of those times?

Climate control controls the climate, ie the tempature. If your fan speed has AUTO - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 and the direction has an AUTO setting and the heat is in numbers, not just red/blue areas, then you have climate control.

Is there a fix for a sensor that consistently reads 3-4deg above the actual outside temperature?

I've always assumed that they must be dirt cheap. Does anyone know for sure? I suppose you could pull it off and give it a careful clean as a first step.

PS How do you know? They all over-read when you've parked up for a few minutes after a drive because of the heat from the engine of course.
