Swirl flaps are only a refinement. Ours have never worked since we had the car

Screwdriver into the slot I've marked green to open the socket a little...

Removing the swirl arm isn't a problem, it's the fact that the arm on the stepper motor will not move. I've tried ignition on/off a few times and it only moves slightly the first time. Leave the ignition off a few minutes and it's the same result.

Quite happy to remove the stepper motor but there's no point if no need. Removing the electrical connector near the glow doesn't reset it.

Whilst I would agree the swirl flaps don't make a damn bit of difference to my driving style I do like things to work and it needs sorting.

Thanks, I'll have a look at that later.

It should all reset itself once the arm is connected to the flaps

Mechanically sorted, even the message has disappeared, but Vida is a different matter. Changed the date but still won't log in. No farther forward. I'll post that problem in the appropriate section.

Smile that stepper

I think you have to actually start the engine, let it run then shut off , then every 5th shutdown youll see the stepper driving full range to 'calibrate', if you're just turning the key to pos 2 i dont think youll see anything happen..

As above you have to stop start for 5 times for it to reset back to its position

You live and learn. Was always under the impression it recalibrated at every fifth turn of the key.
