Driving in Denmark & Sweden - Page 2

Glad that your trip went well, 'WOWOguy'. We always enjoy driving in Scandinavia and have never experienced any language difficulties. On the contrary, the Swedes all seem to want to practice their already excellent English, which was a little frustrating as we wanted to use our admittedly very limited Swedish!

Glad the trip went without fuss. Sadly, despite a huge petition going to DFDS asking that they reinstate the Harwich-Esbjerg route, the problem continues. DFDS said NO as passenger numbers had dropped to an uneconomic level. So no ferries to ANY part of Scandinavia, as DFDS no longer permit private vehicles on it's Immingham services.

Followed your post with interest. I live locally to you (in Walliswood) and have a 131 too.

Went on a holiday to Sweden last year (without the car) and visited the Volvo museum, so now have the thought of driving the 131 to Sweden as you did.

Interested in a meet sometime ?
