480 passenger side pop up light motor
Good afternoon,
Can anyone help me please? I am trying to get my volvo 480s 1994 reg through its MOT and I desperately need a passenger side pop up head light motor. Thank you. Chris Stoppard |

I'm afraid I can't help you with the motor - my last spare went off to a new home a while back.
Hopefully someone can help soon. I assume from your request that the motor has stopped working. You are aware that you can manually wind up the headlights using the grey knob on the back of the motor? If you do that and then remove the relay they should stay up all the time - and that will let you pass your MOT... All the best David

Hi David,
Thank you so much for your helpful reply. Do you know anywhere the headlight motors can be repaired? Thanks a lot, Chris |

It's caked in some sort of hard waterproof seal which I gave up trying to get right through last time I changed a motor on a 480 - I wanted to see if I could see what had gone wrong with it. Have you tried asking on the 480 Europe forum? Might be a better chance there of someone being able to help. Also, FYI, the motors are not "handed", only the brackets they fit to are. The motors are installed different ways around depending on which side of the car they are on. So at least you just need a motor, from either side, with no need to be specific. Good luck! David
