Thanks Clan.

When It had the starting issue the first time it cut out as I was sitting at the junction just past my house. I tried to restart it and it came up saying immobilizer start again.
So I was told by a friend to disconnect the battery for a few hour's and see if it fixes itself.
I did seem to fix, but then the problem persisted with suspected throttle body.
It hasnt came back up with immobiliser start again until yesterday.
Thought it was all related, looks like two seperate faults..
Got back to car last night when it was freezing cold, I thought I was going to have to get a lift home, when it fired first time no problem.
Bit scared to use it now. Its just back from a 450mile trip down south which it was perfect.
When the immobiliser problem came up yesterday i couldnt put steering lock on when i was leaving it, not sure if thats a sign of anything.

Thanks again
I would get volvo to read the stored fault codes that should reveal the problem
