Google Maps / Android System Questions
Hello All
Getting to know this new car feels more and more like learning a new PC operating system, rather than a car! A couple of questions if I may:
Many thanks

Hi,
For your second question I would suggest TuneIn. There are probably other apps but I believe this app is already integrated in Android Auto for Volvos and it is also compatible with Apple Car Play. |

TuneIn does not work!
Or rather, it does work but reports all stations in the USA are banned under Performing Rights action. I used to use it to listen to my favourite station; Radio Paradise in California. It does not play adverts and has a very interesting mix of Rock, Blues and Contemporary music. It's funded by donations and is excellent. I have to listen through Bluetooth on the iPhone which has their App. The only things you can get on TuneIn are UK stations which are perfectly provided by DAB without using any data!

I also tried this App on a PC and it said that the radio station I want is not supported within this region - I assume the UK region. Maybe you need to upgrade to the paid version of TuneIn - if there is one, in order to be able to access radio stations outside of the UK? A bit more searching on the web...

"TuneIn has removed access for UK listeners to the majority of radio stations based outside the country due to licensing reasons." That is real shame. Is there a way of getting a web browser installed in the Volvo system? - Chrome, Firefox... as I could then go to the radio stations website and click on 'listen now', like I can do on my PC.

I can recommend Radio Caroline if it helps. It's available via TuneIn. |
