Default How to remove heated seat switch?

Hi all,

Just a quick one I hope, just after any tips on removing the passenger heated seat switch? Is there an easy way to get access to the back to push it out? The bulbs gone so bought some spares from Maplin earlier so want to have a go at replacing it tomorrow.

Thanks

Got that one sorted easily enough, although the bulb that was in there was blue and maplin only sell white ones so I will see what it looks like tonight. Any tips on pushing out the ones to the left of the steering wheel, bulbs have gone in heated mirror, info and roof switches. I thought I would be able to get to them by taking the kick panel off as you can get to the other switches that way but no access Removing the radio doesn't seem to help either. Any thoughts?

Remove the t25 screw from under the steering wheel put hand up and push the m out is the easiest way once one out they come easily maplin sell green grain of sand bulbs which looks a lot better.

The green bulbs are 99p each the white are £1.27each

I've taken the kick panel off but the access is there, they are boxed in. The other side I can get to fine but that side there is some black polystyrene in the way. It doesn't seem to come out and looks quite fragile so I'm reluctant to pull too hard

Don't worry, I've found the problem, it was me being a k**b! The polystyrene comes out easy if you push it the right way

Get a blue felt marker - ideally the kind of marker pen used on flip charts and white boards - colour the bulb in and it'll shine blue! Needs to be a new-ish pen, so there's lots of ink.

I've done this in the past loads of times and it works....

Cheers!

Good idea, my wife said the same thing just now when I was moaning to her the bulb was a different colour I've got a blue sharpie so I might give that a go. Thanks

The switch has the filter in already and there green the white bulb will be brighter but if you want to dull it or make it a different colour try a green pen
