  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Flux,

This is interesting as VCC have come back to me said that as my car is MY14 I will not bet getting the functionality of MY15 and that there are no plans to retrospectively upgrade any cars to the MY15 spec. They don't seem to recognise the MY14.5 subtlety

I have responded asking why the Sensus Connect summary page say that the functions are available post week 46, it is only in the detail that they say MY15 - still awaiting an answer on that

Seems odd they say no for MY14 you but unsure about MY14.5 - Maybe there is a hope then that MY14.5 might be eligible although can't see why anyone with the Sensus Connect wouldn't all benefit, particularly if there is no hardware changes. Isn't it just a software upgrade or is there some added hardware to allow for wifi as well as bluetooth?

Been out all day and still no update from my dealer. I suspect (as usual) I will be having to chase them for a response but will update if I get one!

I have sen that reference somewhere also, can you repost the link as the one listed above is broken

Will be useful to quote when they come back saying that 14.5 don't get an upgrade - although they do seem to be able to ignore what they say on their own website and post completely wrong information

i found all of the information available for sensus/connect/connected/touch etc etc all very confusing, and rejected my first ordered car because of the wrong/misleading information from both the volvo website and the dealer. the car i eventually got has sensus connect, but it useless to me, and doesn't do anything at all for me at the moment. tunedin radio is something i will never use.

volvo needs to get their act together and make the info/options much more transparent and easier to understand.

I have pasted some of the narrative as follows - As of model year 2015, all new Volvo models will have an updated sensus connect system. Drivers who already have sensus connect in their cars will be offered a system update. For more info contact you volvo dealer.

Sorry, maybe a bit of overkill being highlighted only let's hope it's enough for someone from Volvo to notice it and provide some clarification lest we appear to be misinterpreting what they say. To me it reads as it says and not sure how you be able to make any other inference, unless of course you're Volvo........when 'yes' appears to mean 'no'!

Are you up for providing some clarity Volvo? Is it or isn't it and if not, a full explanation might be nice - oh, and please tell your dealers whilst you're at it as they don't seem to know either.

Just had a reply from Volvo Sweden whom I mailed on Sensus, etc telling me that I need to speak to the dealer!!!

At which point will these wa%^ers realise that their dealers do not know anything about these products and that Volvo need to start speaking to their customers

I used to be very impressed with Volvo Customer Care, and until last year I spoke very highly of them - the past 6 months has shown that the terms Volvo, Customer and Care should not be used in the same phrase.

Hi,

Just got my V60 with Sensus connect last week. I too noticed that the WiFi option isn't there. I also noticed that, contrary to the manual, it won't play DIVX videos via USB. It should have a DIVX licence number in the "settings"-"information" screen, but doesn't.
Seems the current software is different to what the manual writers were shown!

Come on Volvo....we expect better than this!

Can I suggest that you email Volvo Customer Care and inform them of your dissatisfaction?

Currently they are able to ignore the requests a few have sent stating that no-one has any issues.

If they are not told of issues the will continue blindly with the belief that everyone is happy and that there are no faults
