Phone Mount
So we have a 2018 V90 estate and I want to be able to see my mobile phone since the V90 nav system does not come with traffic conditions.
Just plain old navigation which does not cut it trying to get home on a Friday night in the rain. Brodit sells a mount for the air vents but this involves sticky tape which is a bit Heath Robinson for me. https://www.brodit.co.uk/brodit/vehi...018/655246.htm Anyone come across anything else please? (I hate those vents with the vertical slats. Eliminates 99% of all vent-based phone mounts. Cannot attach mobile to the windscreen since my short-arse missus cannot see round it and the chunky oblique front pillars on a V90 are bad enough already for obscuring the view. Ta for suggestions Last edited by martinov; Nov 17th, 2018 at 17:16. Reason: Because I can ! Mwahahahahahaha |

I think the brodit will fix down the gap between your display and trim.
I have one for my S60. They are the best imo and you can also get comparable universal phone holders that are compatible from eBay. Even better if you can hide route a long cable from one of your 12v sockets

Ta folks
Using a suction cup on the windscreen is OK but obscuring.
I have tried them on textured surfaces like the dash and you just cannot get a good, tight air-seal so after a day the whole things drops off as you go over a pot-hole and sleeping policeman. Brodit give the whole range here. https://www.brodit.co.uk/brodit/vehi...o/V90/2018.htm The ones that attach to the trim are mechanically good but place the phone too low down in the drivers field of view. Looks like I will have to use the sticky vent job. |

Why would you want a phone in your field of view? Everything you need is displayed in the centre screen on on the main screen. Also pretty sure the V90 has traffic info, maybe you've not got it turned on?
