Default Pollen filter housing lid

I tried changing the pollen filter but ended up snapping the 2 rear screw fixing points.

Is there a repair that can be done fix this or is it a case of a new housing?

Define "fixing points".
Did you break the tabs on the lid itself?
Are the bosses (holes) which take the screws still good?

Maybe you can simply use thin, fender washers.
You might need to cut some of the washer away (make a "D" shape) if it won't clear the firewall.

I never looked at the entire CAF housing box. You might be able to get a stiff wire around the whole thing if you've really butchered it.

I'll bet you overlooked the rear screws and bent the lid down.

Is the cover off? From memory this job was straightforward but also really awkward by the fact you have to find & undo fasteners blind. If not already, might be worth using a make up mirror etc to examine the area.

I didn't realise there was 4. I undid the front 2 and assumed the back was on hinges so I just pulled it down and it bust the fixing points on the lid

If the screw bosses are intact get thin washers and just get it done.
Thinnies are called "fender washers" here. Heaven only knows what crossing the Atlantic does to he name.
Cheers

Is it just the lid that is snapped or the large white filter housing tabs? If it's the housing, I would simply apply some silicone around (outdoors type). It should be fine until the next filter replacement - few years from now. I'd just make sure it's sealed well.

It's the fixing points on the lid

Have a look on ebay for a replacement one or in a scarp yard.
Or you could try fixing this one by gluing some washers onto the lid.
