I'm assuming you have a Guard II Alarm system, so this information only applies to that.

You can reset the immobiliser by unlocking the car with the fob once it is activated. If this doesn't work then it is likely you have a faulty alarm module (happens if the battery in the car dies for a few weeks, or just from age!). You can pull fuses to permanently disable the immobiliser, there is a certain order to it which can be seen here:

Click

Note this will not disable your alarm or central locking, just your immobiliser. If you want your immobilser back you will need to find a used (or new if you're very lucky) alarm relay, which you will then need to recode your fobs for.

Aha! try disconnecting the battery negative, leaving it for a few minutes and connecting it up again. I've had it on a few cars in the past, where a low voltage battery confuses the electronics in things like immobilisers, alarms etc. and so removing all power (which effectively does a reset) and reconnecting cleanly with a good voltage battery sorts it out.

Very quick to do, worth a try?

Hey buddy,

I’m about to try the below on Friday when I have some time off work. My battery is fine and hasn’t been dead. I’m hoping it gets my central locking working manually along with my alarm. I can focus on be immobiliser later on if need be.

Do the links to the pictures work?

Thanks
