B20 cylinder head wanted please

Hi all,

Just got my Amazon back on the road after a five year lay-up. Went straight through the MOT test

so very happy. However short lived as the engine (B20 from a '74 145 with the 44mm inlet valves) has dropped compression on no. 3 cylinder. I'm pretty sure it has burned an exhaust valve seat out so won't seal properly. Does anyone have a spare complete B20 head so I can get the Amazon back on the road while I save up to get a proper rebuild done on my current head?

I'm sure I have a B18 cylinder head somewhere, would that be any use??

If only to rebuild.

You can have it if it's any good.

Hi John,

Thanks very much for the offer of the B18 head

. If I have no luck searching for a B20 head I'll get in touch. Out of interest do you know if the B18 and B20 heads are interchangeable without mods?

Can recommend Grace Engineering Developments in Swindon, they did my MGB head which is fantastic!
