Software Update

Hi, does anyone know when the last software update for a 2011 C30 2.0 SE LUX petrol was. The service history is non Volvo from three years old, Just wondering if there is anything to gain from it, cost etc. I know I can contact a dealer, just hoped someone might have any knowledge or advice.

Also mine has an electric sunroof, was this standard or an extra?

Sunroofs (or Moonroofs as Volvo comically used to call them) were always a cost option as far as I'm aware.

In terms of software update, only a dealer or someone with a VIDA subscription would really be able to tell you by VIN I guess. Volvo's software updates are as shrouded in mystery and cloud as Apple!

impossible to say what updates your car has had and could have without going to a main dealer/indy with active vida .
so "is it worth it" can not be answered

IF you intend keeping the car for more than " a few months" then it May be an idea to see what its had/what it hasnt and the cost of what it hasnt.
if its a short term thing you dont care about it wont be

going to a main dealer Will also get you info on Any/all recalls for work the car Hasnt had, **assumes the dealer can be Bothered to check, doesnt fob you off with BS as in Their eyes the car is "too old to bother with"

(dont goto johnsons of shirly, they have That attitude and worse)
