Default Chipped

When I was in the UK I had the V70 T5 chipped with ChippedUK - for a bargain price. Very good service - and you can see the results below. Any suggestions to improve the top end - remembering the car has clocked 115000 miles.

I was disappointed with the original performance but the final numbers are better and are a good improvement

It is also an important reminder to those who quote numbers - that they arent worth anything until tested on a rolling road.

The economy is also better!!!

Hi.
Is 'power tyre', WHP?
If so, you appear to have less after the 'chip'.
Why is that?
Dan.

Everyone picks that up - it is a bug in the software - it goes really screwey when it gets hot - which it was that day + it was on its 7th or 8th run.

A rolling road effectively measures torque - and at 5250 - torque = power - so as you can see power is up.

The torque is the biggest difference in the way the car feels - it is definately quicker - and far more brutal in its acceleration

Well you definately have more torque than before, but i would really consider going to another dyno, this wasnt a trailer one was it?

i wouldnt trust a dyno that ""goes funny"" when hot!!!

The t5's are easy to chip in terms of just getting more torque and the needle to sit at the end of the white (for the 850's). But remember that each company will change a different number of parameters and some do more than others which leads to a better "chip".

so as ive said, if poss get to a reliable dyno and you will be able to see exactly what your car is doing.
