I've just seen this and if you check the listings on the ones i originally linked to, they are the equivalents of the 1346030

Should it be of any help, and having recently found my official Bosch data for 740 and 940's it reveals the following part numbers for the LH 2.4 temp sensors:
740 - B200F Fuel/air and coolant - 0 280 130 032 940 - B200F -ditto- 940 - B230F - ditto- to 9/1992 and then from 8/1992 0 280 130 061 Bob Last edited by bob12; Jun 4th, 2018 at 19:26. |

Additionally, the Green Book for LH2.4 on a B230F indicates the test for the coolant sensor signal to the ecu is:
Ohm meter between ground and terminal 13 - Resistance reading should be (see chart): -10C - 8,260 - 10,560 ohms +20C - ,2,280 - 2,720 ohms +80C - 290 - 364 ohms If a fault in sensor/leads - also measure at sensor. Check ground to intake manifold. Bob. |

Again, thanks to everyone who chimed in here The job is now jobbed.
Coolant was flushed once with plain water then three times with deionised... SAM_6765 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/152293344@N05/] Old temp sensor removed and replaced. It looked nasty and had probably been in there since 1996... SAM_6768 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/152293344@N05/] Old 'stat was the same... SAM_6775 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/152293344@N05/] New 'stat much looked better... SAM_6757 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/152293344@N05/] Interestingly both thermostats were Volvo 87 degree OE items, the one that came out was 'Calorstat' branded where-as the one that went in was produced by Wahler. I settled on Comma's 'Super-Coldmaster' antifreeze, it's basically 2 year blue ethylene glycol stuff... SAM_6780 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/152293344@N05/] System bled off and lovely fresh coolant... SAM_6784 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/152293344@N05/] Where-as this certainly wasn't the first coolant flush I've done by any means, it was the first one I've done on a Volvo. You lot proved to be a good bunch with loads of suggestions/feedback and advice, it's been much appreciated. Far too many people turn up on forums, 'vampire' advice and the disappear into the night without a word of thanks or any updates so I thought it would be good form to post some pics to show the fruits of all your help and my labour |
