Default Rear light cluster removal V50.

Hi, has anyone ever removed the rear light cluster on a V50? I have located the 3 retaining nuts and removed them.
But the light was still stuck fast, I didn't want to start pulling on the unit to hard , just in case I ended breaking the light.
Can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction. Many thanks Leigh.

Which model V50 do you have?

Pre or facelift?

In that case, same as mine.

The unit comes out as a whole and has a number of securing/guide pins on it.

With the bulb holders removed as well, it may be "stuck" on. If it's never been removed before, the sponge/rubber seal will be slightly bonded to the car due to water and dirt.

A little force should help it on its way. Maybe use a plastic pry tool or butter knife to help.

This video should help you see where it connects etc. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaEVCuq5fXQ

Nice one, I will have another look in a couple of weeks. Only just seen your reply mate, haven't been on here for a while. Always seem to be a work.

Just wanted to get lights off so I can give them a light tint. Had my windows tinted not long ago. So wanted to get it themed with light tints. Just a few more things to do to the car and it should be finished.

But I bet I can find something else to change.......many thanks for the reply mate.
