running boards
When my wife, who is medium height, exits our XC60 her legs (and clothes) rub on the sill. Would fixing running boards help as a solution or are they too high to be effective?

They would make it worse as I always have to step over mine rather than on them.

Thanks for that. you have confirmed what I was thinking. Guess I will have to make sure the sills are clean!

I'm sure they're intended to be cosmetic only as the ain't wide enough to step on!

Had them on my xc90 and the good lady wife actually used them as a step up/step down to save here trouser legs. Me I strode over and ended up with messed up jeans. more cosmetic than useful..

Thanks. I will abandon the whole idea and provide the wife with a towel to hang over the sill when wet and muddy
