Wish it was only 3. I'm chasing them all over the country, only to be told either driver side was hit or driver side goes like greased lightning out of the blocks.

Are those the odd shaped metal bits on the runners, at left and right, that go up and down with window? If so, that is where I find myself banging head off wall, cables are on, they are woundnon motor BUT the odd shaped metal bit on right hand runner, will not F'ng stay put. Although it did when mate had wires on wrong.

Some of the kits on ebay are also complete crap and won't fit which resulted in me driving down to Coventry to go buy a door....

They are a stupid design and life is too short for dismantling/repairing IMHO.
See insert.

No, when I say angle adjusters I mean the bolt things at the bottom of the regulator frame that come through the door (one near the front of the car, one near the back) which you wind in/out to alter the angle of the window (to make sure it seals).

I'm not 100% sure which bit you mean as it's a while since I did the job but if it doesn't take a big load can you just superglue it in place?

Ok now I'm with you. Sadly the runner needs to run up and down the the frame to move the glass. So no bottles of glue

Anyone know the answer to, do the MK1 coupe and MK1 convertible have interchangeable regulators? Found one online but it's from a coupe.

I have a 2000 volvo C70 convertibile here in Western Australia & am in the process of fitting new wires to the window regulator - wire replacement kit bought on line from ebay Aus$125 (www.pelican parts.com - american company).First test run window went up 50mmm then wires came off a pulley & suspect also the drum as well. Trying to get the tension in the long wire is the problem - no instructions etc found on net from previous reports on how to tension this wire. Will be phoning the supplier on Monday for installation help.

Hi spiritfree there's a Youtube video that is very helpful

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hqzhw5f2mKU which if yiu watch it a couple of times makes the job a lot easier.

If you drop this >>> Volvo C70 cabriolet Mk1 window regulator repair <<< cut beteween the chevrons and paste the words in YouTube's search engine and it pulls up a list of similar videos which you may find helpful.
