The only thing that makes me slightly suspect is the position of the EVAP canister in your original diagram. No matter, thank you for the link above - I shall peruse it later!!

Also, the pipe looks fairly new, but it's not something I replaced and AFAIK I'd replaced all known vac lines last year as part of it's rolling refurbishment. The previous owner replaced the entire PCV system some 5 years back and I'm currently suspecting it might be part of that!?! Onwards and upwards....

Forget the vacuum tree, under the battery tray is some form of air pump, looks like its from there.

Craig.

I've only got the NA V70 not the R so probably different pipes to different parts but, I replaced a pipe on mine recently (due to the connector being perished) and whilst the old pipe was white the replacement is black so I wouldn't get hung up on the colour, also the pipe I replaced was to link the manifold to a sensor but the sensor just happens to be fixed to the back of the radiator for no apparent reason other than it was a handy place to hang it, might be worth checking anywhere within reach of that pipe rather than just the manifold and air box etc.

Thanks for that - I knew it wasn't the vac tree because I checked the other day. The air pump thingy under the batt tray is next then - cheers!! Won't be with the car again until Sunday though unfortunately..

Ok - so I've not got to the car yet until tomorrow, but that pump is the cruise control vaccuum pump and after checking a few pics online and cross-referencing it looks the same connection. Will put a conclusion on it tomorrow!

Is it a vac line?? It originates from underneath the o/S headlight area and appears to then run along the wing toward bulkhead!? It looks as if it locates in the slam panel n/s arwa or airbox? Anyone??? 🤔
that looks like the cruise control vac pipe it fits on the cruise control vacuum motor underneath the battery tray
