Default 850 Phase 2, & 70 Series to 1999 Service Light Reset Tool

After considerable recent demand, i would like it known that i have two service light reset tools available free of charge to any forum member, VOC affiliated or not....
To register for the loan, you will need to send me a PM with your name, address and phone number...

I am also pleased to announce that due to a generous donation from Cam and Sheila we now have a second reset tool available which will reduce the delay......Thanks Guys...
Can users please try to send the tool back as soon as possable after receipt to avoid a queue forming...
Also as, at present i have not won the lottery can please also include £3.00 to cover packaging and postage costs....
Please note the tool will be sent by recorded delivery and must be returned the same to....

Default code reader for '99S70

Hi Jod T5
I have a ''99 Volvo S70 GLT(Belgian built), with a B5254S (2.435liter) 20v gas. engine and a/t trans and 140000 Km (87000miles), The EM is Motronic4.4 (according to the manual). the connector (in the arm rest) has OBDII on the cover
I built the Phase2 4.3 Motronic Flash Code reader but it did not work. I was told the elect managment sys is ME7.0, how can I be sure?

Can anyone recommend a code reader that will show what are the codes and erase (without batt. discon.)
The check engine came on about 3 weeks ago and I borrowed a code reader and as far as I could tell it showed a timing error, the car sounds/runs ok I disconnected the batt. but after about 3 days the Check eng light came on again, yesterday it went off by itself (maybe the computer is so smart it fixed itself !!!).
I'll appreciate your help
Israel

Hi Israel
First off the flash code reader will not work on any car other than the 850 series and the 10v 70 series to 1999....
You will certainly not have a ME7 ECM
Has you car got a distributor cap?....if so it will be 4.4 if not Denso
The service light tool should work on your vehicle, however code reading will depend on your ECM type
HTH
Cheers
