Default V70 boot edge

Having just bought a newish V70 I was worried about the plastic edge over the bumper, but remembered when I was a "gopher" with a historic sports car racing team, we covered the vulnerable paintwork with thick transparent tape to protect the million pound cars from stone chips. And I found a roll!
So I have covered the top with tape to protect it.
We will see if it works,

Have a look on eBay for " door sill protection" . Roll OS about 6 ft long and 6 inches wide cost about £1 to £2 . I have used it and it's very good. Apply using soapy water spray . Any compound curves are easily covered using a hot air gun.

What are you protecting it from?

Volvo have their own bumper protector cover but personally when getting Holly in and out of the boot, I simply use a towel which I roll out over it!

My boot liner has a flap which covers the bumper for loading the pets and pram etc but having the black textured plastic XC bumper also helps either knocks etc
