Default ANOTHER problem - A/C

I have yet another problem with my XC90, the air con works great until the car gets hot, then the air con stops working until the car has cooled down again, any suggestions?

Could it be over heating due to low gas? I only ask because when it is working it is never as cold as it should be, also goes very humid

No, definitely what cheshired5 says in his video. Common issue.

Which parts of the above suggested video have you followed so far?
Have you viewed the compressor clutch operation when hot?
Have you measured the clutch gap? What was the gap size?

If you haven't physically done anything to investigate the basic possibilities, it's not worth going into all of the less likely possibilities.

Ok I have checked out the video but am confused as to where I am placing the wire, does anybody have an exploded diagram? I only have a phone screen to watch the video on so is a bit difficult to tell

If you want to do a "proper job" as opposed to Simon's quick fix, you should remove the pulley and remove shims from the input shaft to close the gap. It can be done DIY without disconnecting any pipework.

The video is 4 years old and my quick fix is still working and doing a proper job.
