Hi.
Just put down a deposit on a 2004 XC70 D5 to use as a all weather motorway hack in between Surrey and Kent where I am helping to build a 90 acre Off-road and events centre. I needed something half decent that’s safe, comfy, good on fuel as my daily 4.7 V8 jeep does 18mpg at best and 4.3mpg off road.

Hopefully I’ve made the right choice and am in good company.

Good choice, good company, but the wrong forum section

This section is for 2007 models and later. There's another one for earlier years.

Like you I bought an XC70, in my case a 2012 D5 215 bhp. I believe it's build quality, off road ability, load capacity, reliability and above all its safety make it a good choice and to bring home how safe it is you may not have seen this video:

Welcome! I’m pretty new here too but everyone is very helpful and friendly so you’ll be well at home here with your new xc70. I’d love to hear more about this off-road centre as that sounds like a lot of fun 😃
